| Building standards are in place to assure that your neighbors’ homes complement and enhance your home. These are detailed in the purchase contract, but highlights include: |
>All homes must be built out of masonry or masonry equivalents: block, concrete forms, adobe, or compressed earth. Steel and wood based homes are prohibited.
>Homes must be a minimum of 110m2.
>Quality roofs are required. Roof construction from corrugated sheet is prohibited.
>Homes must be placed 3 meters from their side lot lines, and 6 meters away from the front lot line, allowing everyone a little space and privacy. |
>Front fences must allow visibility of the homes, contributing to the open look of our neighborhood and allowing Bonaire’s tradewinds to flow freely.
>Rear fences must be 2 meters high, assuring you of some privacy around your spa or pool.
>Multiple rental units are prohibited. A home may contain 1 studio apartment, but no more. This insures that your neighbor builds a house, not a hotel or inn.
>No structures higher than 8m are allowed. |
